2 Corinthians 8-9: Generosity

On top of a mountain, with his disciples listening in and a crowd on every side, Jesus tells us:

‘Do not store up yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break
in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and
where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.’
(Matt 6:19-21)

Money: the way we treat money shows us our hearts. As we look at 2 Corinthians 8-9, we’ll see how to have a
heart like God’s, who is so generous to us so that we can be generous like him.
