Proverbs 1:22-23

22 “How long will you who are simple love your simple ways?
How long will mockers delight in mockery
and fools hate knowledge?
23 Repent at my rebuke!
Then I will pour out my thoughts to you,
I will make known to you my teachings.

 

One thought:

The meek will inherit the earth. To receive wisdom, we must first come to God acknowledging our foolishness and need.

 

 

Three questions:

Why might God require repentance?

 

Do you humbly acknowledge your need for wisdom?

 

Spend a few minutes repenting of times you have rejected God’s wisdom

 

Prayer:

Praise God that He is generous in giving wisdom to those who desire it. Give thanks that in Christ we can know our great foolishness and need for God’s wisdom. Ask God to help you + someone else repent of pride and false-knowledge and come to Him for true knowledge and wisdom
