Zech 8:9–11

8:9
“The Lord of Heaven’s Armies also says, ‘Gather strength, you who are
listening to these words today from the mouths of the prophets who were
there at the founding of the house of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, so that
the temple might be built.
10
Before that time there was no compensation for man or animal, nor was
there any relief from adversity for those who came and went, because I had
pitted everybody—each one—against everyone else.

But I will be different now to this remnant of my people from the way I

One thought:

To build the temple of God takes strength – thankfully, God is not short on this resource

Three questions:

Why would God’s people need to be strong to build God’s temple?

What do you fear, doing God’s work?

What do you need strength from God to do today?

Prayer:

Praise God that He is the Almighty God who has strength enough to do all the work He has purposed to do. Give thanks that the Father strengthened Christ to endure the cross and build the temple of His people. Ask God to strengthen you +someone else to continue doing His good work in the world.
