Proverbs 1:10-14

10 My son, if sinful men entice you,
do not give in to them.
11 If they say, “Come along with us;
let’s lie in wait for innocent blood,
let’s ambush some harmless soul;
12 let’s swallow them alive, like the grave,
and whole, like those who go down to the pit;
13 we will get all sorts of valuable things
and fill our houses with plunder;
14 cast lots with us;
we will all share the loot”—

One thought:

Sinners don’t like to sin alone.

Three questions:

What might this look like in our culture?

Are you sober-minded about unbelievers around you?

How are you being tempted to sin by unbelieving friends/family/colleagues?

Prayer:

Praise God that He hates sin and wickedness. Give thanks that in Jesus you have been changed to a position of righteousness and are now able to glorify God through good works rather than evil. Ask God to help you + someone else resist the temptation that comes from unbelieving relationships and witness to them the goodness of Christ.
