Gal 5:22–26

5:22
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness,
23
gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
24
Now those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions
and desires.
25
If we live by the Spirit, let us also behave in accordance with the
Spirit.
26
Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, being jealous of one
another.

One thought:

Imagine a tree that could produce mangos, oranges, strawberries and nectarines. The Spirit makes us remarkable.

Three questions:

What are the passions of the flesh (consider the contrast to the fruit of the Spirit)?

Do you feel joy at the work God has done in you?

What passions/desires have you crucified?

Prayer:

Praise God that He can make dead trees into living, fruiting ones. Give thanks that we belong to Christ and can live a fruitful life to His glory. Ask God to help you (+ someone else) to produce even more fruit & crucify the desires of your flesh.
