Some devout men buried Stephen and made loud lamentation over him.

But Saul was trying to destroy the church; entering one house after
another, he dragged off both men and women and put them in prison.

Keep reading tomorrow to see how God is able to work mightily through in in spite of the sins of humanity.

Why do you think God allows His people to be harmed?

 

Do you fear this? How do you feel about the idea of something like this happening again?

 

Spend a few moments thinking about or writing down how good the new heavens/earth will be

Prayer:

Give thanks that God is in control and that all things work together for the good of those who love Him.

Ask God to help us in our fear of suffering.

Ask God to help us see even more clearly, how we can have joy at all times because of our hope in Christ.
