Acts 17:10–12

17:10
The brothers sent Paul and Silas off to Berea at once, during the night.
When they arrived, they went to the Jewish synagogue.
11
These Jews were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they
eagerly received the message, examining the scriptures carefully every day
to see if these things were so.
12
Therefore many of them believed, along with quite a few prominent Greek
women and men.

One thought:

God has given us the Scriptures, the Spirit and minds to comprehend His truths.

Three questions:

What would this look like today?

Do you desire to know the Scriptures for yourself or to just be told what to do/think/believe?

Commit to writing down and investigating one passage of Scripture that the preacher quotes this Sunday.

Prayer:

Give thanks that God has given us all that we need to know Him and to understand the gospel.

Give thanks for His Church that helps us understand the Bible better.

Ask God to help you and others be diligent in learning His truths personally.
