Summer at Salt Church

Connect & Grow over Summer

In Hebrews we read this (10:24-25) – Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Here’s why it matters (10:31, 36) – It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God… You need to persevere…

But over summer one big place we “meet together” to do exactly that stops – for 8 weeks Small Groups don’t run. Groups take a break so leaders can rest. But we don’t ever want to “take a break” from growing to know God, being connected, persevering.

What can you do to stay connected and growing this summer?

Ask 1 or 2 people from your Small Group or your Gathering (one you know well & one you don’t) to catch up over Summer. Hang out each week or as often as you can, read some bible together and pray.

Read Matthew’s Gospel before we look at it together in 2021. If you read 2-3 chapters each week you could cover the whole book over the Summer.

Invite some people over for a BBQ or grab a feed at a café. Invite people you know well plus people you could get to know.
