Matt 16:13–18

16:13
When Jesus came to the area of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples,
“Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”

They answered, “Some say John the Baptist, others Elijah, and others
Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
15
He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”

Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
17
And Jesus answered him, “You are blessed, Simon son of Jonah, because
flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but my Father in heaven!
18
And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my
church, and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.

Praise God for His Church, that it is built on Christ the Messiah and that nothing will stop its progress. Give thanks that you + (choose some other people) have been included in God’s great building plan. Ask God to help you + someone else participate faithfully in the building up of His Church.
