Zech 4:9–11

4:9
“The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundations of this temple, and his
hands will complete it. Then you will know that the Lord of Heaven’s Armies
has sent me to you.
10
For who dares make light of small beginnings? These seven eyes will
joyfully look on the tin tablet in Zerubbabel’s hand. These are the eyes of
the Lord, which constantly range across the whole earth.”
11
Next I asked the messenger, “What are these two olive trees on the right
and the left of the menorah?”

One thought:

God speaks with words and actions.

Three questions:

How does God build the temple?

How do you feel about God’s temple (His Church) right now?

Pray for some places around the world where God’s Church is suffering. You can check out https://www.theguardian.com/world/ng-interactive/2015/jul/27/where-in-the-world-is-it-worst-place-to-be-a-christian

Prayer:

Praise God for the foundations laid by Jesus and the apostles for the great temple of the Lord that is His people. Give thanks that God continues to build His Church and that you get to be a part of that. Ask God to help you + someone else love His Church and continue to prayerfully do the work of building it.
