1 Pet 4:14–16

4:14
If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the
Spirit of glory, who is the Spirit of God, rests on you.
15
But let none of you suffer as a murderer or thief or criminal or as a troublemaker.
16
But if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but glorify God that
you bear such a name.

One thought:

For some of us, we are tempted to fight fire with fire. Christians don’t need to do this.

Three questions:

How might a Christians today suffer for doing the wrong thing?

How do you feel when people ridicule Christians/God?

How could you glorify God that you bear His name today?

Prayer:

Acknowledge God as one who is totally secure in who He is – He is not diminished by unbelief.

Give thanks that you are blessed in that you bear His name.

Ask God to help you speak wisely and in love to those who would attack God or His people.
