1 Pet 5:5–7

5:5
In the same way, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. And all of
you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because God opposes
the proud but gives grace to the humble.
6
And God will exalt you in due time, if you humble yourselves under his
mighty hand
7
by casting all your cares on him because he cares for you.

One thought:

We live in anxious times, how wonderful that we can cast all of our cares on the Sovereign God.

Three questions:

How does Peter say we can humble ourselves (v7)?

What do you get anxious about?

Clothe yourself in humility today by acknowledging God as the source of all your good achievements and praying about things that worry you.

Prayer:

Acknowledge God as the one who has made you, saved you and given you gifts for good works.

Give thanks for Christ who humbled Himself even unto death on a cross.

Ask God to help you give your cares to Him and trust Him.
