For God wants you to silence the ignorance of foolish people by doing
good.

Live as free people, not using your freedom as a pretext for evil, but as
God’s slaves.

Honor all people, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the king.

 

 

One thought:

 

We submit ourselves to God as His slaves, seeing His work as more worthy than what we might give our lives to otherwise.

 

 

Three questions:

 

Consider the modern opinion of Christians – what sort of good can we be doing to silence this opinion?

 

Do you see yourself as God’s slave?

 

Identify one area in your life where you can be doing more good

 

 

Prayer:

 

Give thanks for Jesus Christ who freely gave His life for the sake of giving us freedom from slavery to sin. Ask God to help us see ourselves as slaves to a Good King. Ask God to help you do more good in the world.
