Matt 3:13–17

Then Jesus came from Galilee to John to be baptized by him in the Jordan
But John tried to prevent him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and
yet you come to me?”
So Jesus replied to him, “Let it happen now, for it is right for us to
fulfil all righteousness.” Then John yielded to him.
After Jesus was baptized, just as he was coming up out of the water, the
heavens opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and
coming to rest on him.
And a voice from heaven said, “This is my one dear Son; in him I take
great delight.”

One thought:

God is triune/trinity – He is Father, Son & Spirit, co-equal in essence but different in role.

Three questions:

What do you think the significance is of the Spirit coming on Jesus, the Son?

Do you see God/relate to Him as trinity?

When you pray, pray to the Father, through the Son and with the help of the Spirit.

Acknowledge God the Father as our Father in Heaven, acknowledge God the Son as our Lord and Saviour – Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit as the one who reveals this truth to us by the will of the Father.

Give thanks that we can know God as Father/Son/Spirit.

Ask God to help you relate to Him better as triune.
